Unless otherwise specified, all of our scanning services include basic scan level adjustments to provide the best usable scans. We use quality CCD film scanners with the ICE technology that removes much of the dust and scratches during the scanning process. Our scans often rival drum scan output.
Our standard practice is to save all images, on a quality CD-ROM, at 300dpi using the Adobe1989 RGB color space and the TIFF file extension, which we find best suited for print and editing work. We usually do not sharpen images during scanning as this step is best done at the end of the editing process just before output.
We normally do not charge on a MB basis for our scanning services. We will simply provide you with the file size necessary to print at your desired output size. Scan editing, restoration, color correction and manipulation is available at our standard imaging rate of $ 75/ hour billed in 20 minute intervals. All scan editing work starts with a free quote.

We scan negatives and transparencies in 35mm, 120 medium format and up to 4" x 5" large format. We can also scan flat reflective work at sizes up to 11.5 x 8.5 inches at extremely high resolutions. Larger flat artwork can be photographed digitally or scanned after a negative is made. Please see Art Photography >.
