giclée printing
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term referring to fine spray. At Ink Studios we use this term to describe our high end piezo ink prints, using a variety of substrates, and Epson's Ultrachrome Inks.PRINTINGThe above prices apply to costumer supplied files that are ready to print. Your RGB image file should be cropped, sharpened, profiled and ready for printing in an uncompressed TIFF file format at 240 to 300dpi.Please supply files on a CD-ROM and not on CD-RW, or simply upload to us using our FTP UPLOAD >. Our optional setup and proofing cost is $45.00 and includes up to three 8x10 inch prints. First we print your image as is, and send it to you for your comments (shipping is not included). After any alterations a second 8x10 proof is printed. If necessary further tweaking can result in a third proof. Image cropping, sizing, basic corrections, basic cleanup and file adjustments are included, making this a highly valuable service.
